Inspired by the muted peach hues of Himalayan sea salt and set against the historic backdrop of Agecroft Hall in Richmond, Virginia, two different looks were styled for Michael & Carina Bethea’s Rejuvenate: The Little Workshop—a simple al fresco boudoir look, and an ethereal bridal look with bright pops of color.
We were blessed by a windy day and impending overcast skies, perfect to capture the movement of both gowns, the ribbon on the bouquet, and the model’s hair & veil. Wit Weddings kept the styling feminine and subtle, to allow the structure and strong lines of Agecroft Hall, shipped from England and completely rebuilt in Richmond, to shine through.
The tabletop was kept understated, carrying over the Himalayan sea salt theme into the floral design and truffles as part of the place settings. Sea salt and natural linens were also incorporated into the stationery styling.
The boudoir look was kept clean, reflecting the model’s natural beauty, and pulling details from the lush tulip garden. White Magnolia Designs captured the romantic feel of this Elizabethan estate using a soft color palette of peach and ivory, and ivory silk ribbon.
As the light faded, the bouquet was switched out with coral poppies, creating the perfect contrast to the muted gray tones of the Agecroft Hall veranda.
