BHLDN’s 2014 Summer Lookbook in the Yucatan

Summer is approaching and I’m looking forward to the road trips we’re planning near and far, the longer summer days, and cool summer nights. One of my favorite summers was when we traveled to Merida, Mexico. This city that will always have a special place in my heart. On one of the evenings, restaurants would pull their tables and chairs outside just to have dinner under the stars, while live music and dancing was happening in the streets. My husband and I salsa danced throughout the evening until there was no one left. A moment I will never forget. I wish I could go back there right now to relive it. So when BHLDN shared with us their Summer Lookbook of their wedding gown collection that they launched today, it just brought so many memories of how beautiful the Yucatan is. With the carefree spirit of beaches of Merida, and BHDLN’s romantic nature of the current gown collection, this lookbook is perfection.

“Photographed by Diego Uchitel, the lookbook captures the emotion and fluidity of BHLDN’s gowns and the warmth and effortless beauty of summer weddings. Set just outside Merida, Mexico, the site featured a hacienda with perfectly aged patina, rich in history and nostalgia, and provided access to the Yucatan peninsula’s enchanting jungles and wild, untouched beaches. The incredible textures and rich, vibrant colors provided a beautiful contrast to BHLDN’s delicate, airy dresses, and the warm, ethereal light and ocean breeze brought the gowns to life.”
