An Elegant Black Tie Wedding with a Touch of Vintage

Jack & Shannon met at the University of San Francisco and they have been together for over five years. Jack proposed in 2011 during a trip to Cornwall. Jack is originally from London, so all of the wedding planning was done with the two of them across the sea. The couple really didn’t have a specific theme, but the wedding was a very elegant black tie affair with vintage influence and a jewel tone peacock color scheme. The venue at the Bel Air Bay Club was the perfect backdrop for this California wedding.

We also love that all of the Shannon’s jewelry, and her shoe clips were vintage and borrowed from her grandmother. Swoon!

A few of our favorite details: Jack had all of his groomsmen gift cards written on Jack’s from a card deck. All the English accents were amazing to listen to all day.

They have something they call “the dip” that they have done for years and years for all their special occasions and trips. They had pictures of “the dip” on every table with the centerpieces along with postcards of all of the places that mean a lot to them. The toast that Jack gave to Shannon brought a tear to every eye in the house. It was literally out of a movie.

The couple was very concerned with all of their guests, especially their out of town guests, to really be a part of their day, so they even arranged for a special picture directly after their ceremony. Their favors were little m&m’s with their faces on them. Also they had a bubble send off. Who could ask for more from this beautiful wedding. All in all, it was not only a beautiful event, but Jack & Shannon are gorgeous happy people, and their guests had a blast at their wedding!
