Hi there! We always love supporting the sponsors in our magazine, website and events! One of our sponsors from the Leap Year Remix Party, Paper Crew is having their 2nd Anniversary this Friday, April 6 at 6:30 in the evening, and you’re invited! If you’re local to Long Beach, you might want to swing by and check out their first wedding showcase “love, styled, green” inspired by Bixby Knoll’s theme for First Friday “Mother Earth”. The showcase will feature a styled wedding setup featuring a group of talented artists, including another one of our sponsors Double-sided Tape! So inspired by their board!

Danielle and Garrett had a beautiful seaside wedding at the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, British Columbia. When Garrett proposed to Danielle, he didn’t have a ring ready. And she was well aware that the custom ring won’t be ready for their wedding ceremony as well, so seeing a toy ring on the bible was no surprise to her. But she didn’t know that when it came time to exchange rings, Garrett would pull out the real ring that he’s promised her. The look on her face was priceless. I love it when the groom surprises his bride on their wedding day!

The emotional moment was followed by feet washing, which I’ve only seen on Holy Thursdays where this practice is recreated to remember Christ when he washed his disciples’ feet as an example of love, service and humility. When I saw this practice done in the context of a wedding between a bride and a groom, it completely makes sense! It’s such a perfect way to show each other their unconditional love, reverence and humility! I am completely loving it! What a great idea!

Did you see the Pastel Persuasion article on p.169 in Issue no. 20? Remember the nostalgic printed bridesmaid dresses in shades of pastels?

POPPY, the British clothing line that depicts a little girl’s adventures on the hem of its dresses, recently launched their new line for women for Spring/Summer 2012 and they’re equally adorable and makes you want to eat them up with tea! The dresses are available from a growing network of independent boutiques as well as online, where they are priced at £98 – wrapped beautifully and delivered free (UK only).

Their little girls dresses would be perfect for your flower girls too! Aren’t they too cute for words?

Home is where the heart is. So it’s only fitting to bring your wedding celebration home. Tessa and Jared were married at Tessa’s family home with lots of personal touches like felt hearts garlands hanging throughout, their wedding date carved into a heart-shaped section of a tree trunk, old family photos, and much more. One of the best parts was the antique, convertible Thunderbird that Tessa and Jared rode to the reception at a nearby pavilion. The Thunderbird used to be Tessa’s grandmother’s car, but the current owner brought the car over for the special day and drove the couple himself! A belly dancer and a traditional bread cake that went along with the Babushka dance were special treats during the reception. Love all the little thoughtful details they put into their wedding.
