We love proposals! Even more so when it’s secretly being filmed or photographed. We were so excited when Mariah of Amari Productions sent us this adorable proposal that they captured. We just had to share it with you.

My biggest fear was her falling out of the tree…

I kept thinking, “With my luck, she’s going to fall out of the tree right before I propose.” …And then, sure enough, she did. Everything was going perfectly to plan. We were walking through the park looking for a nice, big tree to have a picnic in. I led her to the biggest tree in the park where I previously planted the ring up in the branches. When she discovered the handmade box locked to the tree I could tell by the joy on her face that she knew something was about to happen. As she moved to the other branch, she slipped in her cute cowgirl boots, and before I could catch her the worst had happened. I quickly grabbed the box with the ring, hopped down from the tree, and checked to see if she was okay. With only a few scratches and a smile on her face, I proceeded to get down on one knee and ask my love to marry me. Though sore from the fall, she still said yes with an uncontrolled dance… And it all worked out just as expected. - Aaron

Happy Monday! We’ve had quite an eventful week last week in SF, with the launch party of Lovely Little Details new branding and site, as well as the relaunch of Blu Bungalow’s blog by our sister design studio DL/sh Design. Nothing beats hanging out with good friends over good food!

If you remember, it was also our first week of UE Big Change. In between traveling, partying, eating and sightseeing, both Lucia and I still managed to sneak in work time (including working on our iPad in the car ride while getting car sick and running in as soon as there’s internet connection to upload our files!). I have to be honest, there were multiple times during the trip when I almost gave up and started thinking of what rap song I’d be doing. But with motivation from Lucia and our immediate cheerleaders (who sometimes would rather take us to go karaoke instead of seeing us work), we were able to check off our list despite technical difficulties and more fun alternative distractions. So now that week #1 is done, bring on week #2!

Utterly Engaged is gearing up for some BIG CHANGES and we need YOUR SUPPORT  to make it happen. We have a lot of work ahead of us and in order to keep ourselves on track, we have set up weekly goals.  And this is where YOU come in. We need you to be our cheerleaders to keep us going. We are assigned tasks to complete each week and if, for one reason or another, we don’t complete them by Friday of that week, we will be posting videos of us doing embarrassing things the following Monday, such as Henny rapping or Lucia singing karaoke (which we definitely do NOT want to share) and as our readers, you get to vote on what you most want us to do.
