“Adventure Awaits” globe $450 retail

Who knew decoupage art could be so cool! Meet designer and artist Wendy Gold of  ImagineNations who are recreating vintage globes into one-of-a-kind artworks. Her creations start by rummaging through flea markets to find the perfect canvases, then to creating eclectic designs in her San Francisco based studio to capture the imaginations of all ages. Each globe is unique in its size and accouterments, lending its own personality to the finished product. All the artwork is hand cut, decoupaged on, and then finished for a professional look and feel. To give back to the communities that inspire her, a portion of the proceeds from each sale goes to help local charities - American Forests, the oldest national conservation nonprofit in the country and Opportunities For Independence, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by partnering with them to lead full and independent lives.

Celebrities, designers and environmental enthusiasts are raving about these art on globes, including celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, Hollywood’s favorite philanthropist Sean Penn and Green Day Front Man Billie Joe along with world-renowned restaurants, hotels and boutiques. Her works have been featured on CNN, The View, Travel + Leisure and a number of national outlets.

“With the world as your canvas, there are zillions of possibilities.” Says Gold. And she’s right.

If you could customize one, what would you put on your globe?

Sugar and spice and everything nice. And naughty too. That’s what Issue No. 015 is all about. With all eyes on the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, we thought it would be fun to take your mind beyond the wedding day to think of your wedding night as husband and wife. Your wedding may be sweet, but there’s nothing wrong with infusing a little spice in your wedding night. From the blushing bride to the sexy maven, you’ll get plenty of inspiration in this issue *wink*.

Thank you again for all your love and support. Hope you enjoy the issue!

Cheers!

If you’re not familiar with them, they are a great resource if you want to find handpicked selection of all that’s fun, fashionable, food related and culturally stimulating in the city you’re fixated on (and all over the Web). A Road Trip Film

A honeymoon with lots of pictures is wonderful, but what about creating a little film about it?! Below Taza + her husband, from rockstar diaries, filmed their road trip and the final result is so adorable. A really great idea that anyone can do. I am going to do this for sure on my next road trip with my husband. Sigh.
